However, the ball is blocked, resulting in a throw-in for Switzerland; however, midfielder Casemiro does well to recover possession for his team shortly after.

Vinicus scores the first goal for Brazil 64 minutes into the game with a spectacular finish after racing forward and beating the Swiss goalkeeper. But the joy was short-lived because a VAR review revealed that the Real Madrid player raced in too early, resulting in an unlucky offside, and the goal was disallowed.

As the game goes on, Brazil makes a few significant substitutions. Richarlison is replaced by Gabriel Jesus, while Raphinha is replaced by Antony. Brazil finally scores after 83 minutes of play as Casemiro scores a spectacular volley into the goal off a tiny deflection off the Swiss defense to give his team a much-needed lead. Fortunately for the men in yellow, this goal stands, giving Brazil a 1-0 lead over Switzerland.
